Top Essential Oils to Keep Your Home Cozy and Healthy this Fall
Fall is here! Otherwise known as the start of chaos in our home. Between kids sporting events and school functions, it seems we are always running and always battling the next sickness. This year I have put a major emphasis on using Essential Oils to combat everything from general stinky-ness in our home to relentless coughs. I am so glad I did and here is why you should too!
Essential Oils, what are they exactly?
Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts that capture the natural fragrance and beneficial properties of various plants. They are commonly used in aromatherapy, skincare, and natural remedies. These oils are derived through processes like distillation or cold pressing, which help retain the potent therapeutic compounds found in plants. Each essential oil has its own unique aroma and potential health benefits, ranging from promoting relaxation and reducing stress to supporting skin health and boosting immunity. It's important to note that essential oils are powerful substances and should be used with caution, following proper dilution and usage guidelines. When used mindfully, essential oils can be a wonderful addition to your wellness routine, offering a natural and holistic approach to health and well-being.

The answer is easy, EVERY CHANCE YOU GET!
Essential oils are versatile and can be used in a myriad of ways to promote well-being and enhance daily life. Incorporating essential oils into your routine can be a simple yet impactful way to benefit from their therapeutic properties. Whether you are looking to relax, boost your mood, or support your overall health, there is an essential oil that can help.
One popular way to use essential oils is through aromatherapy. By diffusing (this is my favorite diffuser) oils into the air, you can create a calming or invigorating atmosphere depending on the oils you choose. If you venture over to my Everything Essential Oil Pinterest page, you will find an abundance of diffuser blend recipes to choose from.
Additionally, you can apply essential oils topically by diluting them with a carrier oil and massaging them into the skin. This method is great for targeting specific areas or for enjoying the aromatic benefits throughout the day.
Furthermore, essential oils can be used in household cleaning products to harness their natural antibacterial and antifungal properties. I currently make my own universal cleaner by adding vinegar and EO to a mason jar and putting a spray nozzle on it to use all over the house!
My 'Universal Cleaner' recipe:
-1 half pint mason jar (any glass jar)
-1 Spray Nozzle (I like these)
-3/4 Cup White Distilled Vinegar
-10 drops Lemon essential oil
-*Dried Lemon Balm (Optional)
Fill jar 3/4 way full with vinegar, top jar off with water (preferably filtered) add dried Lemon Balm and 10 drops of Lemon essential oil. Mix Well
They can also be added to beauty products like lotions and serums to promote healthy skin and hair...….Speaking of hair, I don't know about you, but my hair has been thinning consistently since the pandemic. A friend of mine recommended this All-Natural Hair Spritz from Rowe Casa Organics and I have never been more happy with a hair growth product. Truthfully this company in general is just outstanding! If you have never heard of them I encourage you to head over to their website and check them out. You will not regret it!
As you can see the possibilities are truly endless! Remember though, each essential oil has its own unique benefits and uses, so it's always a good idea to research and experiment to find the oils that work best for you. Whether you're a seasoned essential oil enthusiast or just starting out, there's no doubt that these natural extracts can have a positive impact on your life!
